
OCC Chapter (Club Impact)
The purpose of this club is to create opportunities for students to build community involvement and raise social awareness about homelessness, healthcare, and bullying. The club directly responds to the needs of the OCC campus and the local community.

Youth Leadership Conference
Youth Ambassadors serve as mentors who support students in preparing and applying for college.

Students Engagement
We work with students throughout Ocean County to increase the number of low-income, first-generation, and underrepresented high school students who enter higher education.

Free Cultural Events
Providing support through the acculturation process. Youth Ambassadors have created different spaces for OCC students where they can explore their cultural worth. Free events like Salsa Classes, Candle Day, HHM, among others.

Hispanic Heritage Month
Community Ambassadors bring back the celebration on HHM on 2024 with the support of the Heritage committee at OCC

Lives On Canvas
Creatively using the arts to support mental health and language development, youth-led programs integrate research and community interest/needs. Laura Garzon led the first OCC Latino/Immigrant Arts Expo that combined the community, arts, and OCC for English learners.

Internship Opportunities
We offer assistance in navigating the complex college admission and financial aid process. Our Youth Ambassadors bring unique cultural perspectives on race, explore the interpersonal and sociocultural circumstances that relate poverty to public policy,

Community Ambassadors work with the help of our Youth Leader, Laura Garzon, to secure the MLK grant to hold a coat drive for our community in need at Ocean County
